    The Story

In 2012, Nina Siljanovic returned to her home town after years of travel, study and work in Europe.  She had lived in Italy, Serbia and the UK.  By day, she had pursued a career in Project Finance in an Investment Bank.  In her free time, she explored cultures, languages, cuisines.

Back in Sydney, whilst pondering her next career move, she made some Amaretti for a group of friends using a recipe she had been taught whilst living in Italy.  The reactions to her biscuits were above and beyond.

“Could this be it?” she wondered.  It was almost too obvious - doing something she loved and seemed to have a natural talent for.

From there, she trained in Patissiere at TAFE NSW in Ultimo and started to supply her signature Amaretti to local cafes, as well as expanding her product range.  She has grown The Nutty Baker organically, taking advantage of opportunities as they have arisen.

In November 2015, Nina opened the very first shopfront of The Nutty Baker, in the heart of Vaucluse in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.

From Banking to Baking, or so the saying goes...
